Aside from my wide experience, I have held many top positions right through the technology ladder. I began as a software developer for medical services before moving into internet programming. I spent 6 years with emap in London, eventually leaving to set up my own boutique digital agency working with some amazing clients in Paris. Since returning to London in 2010, I have held a CTO position for a digital content agency
I'm now working on a freelance and contract basis directly with clients and agencies
I have been building websites since my very first for pubishing giant emap back in 2001. Since then, I have worked on website projects for banks, retailers, pubilshers, films and charities.
Behind every great online experience, there are databases and services. I've worked with many enterprise databases and have built APIs for one of the UKs biggest retailers.

Manually copying files to a web server is fine when you are a one man operation. When you are part of a team though, proper deployment and automation techniques become essential to keep the wheels turning
I implemented a number of Agile techniques into my development team in 2011. Since then, Agile has come a long way and is now the de facto method of running successful technology teams
I work with clients of all levels of technical skills, from CEOs and business owners to developers. With the complexity of technolgy and its connection throughout modern businesses, it's now more imporant than ever that technology is explained in a straightforward and friendly way.
In my professional experience, having the right team is as important as having the right technology. The next most important thing is keeping the team happy and functioning effectively.
Having an off shore team provides immediate access to additional resources. However, off shore teams demand different ways of working and understanding these is key to their success.
Having spent the last 8 years working for a very successful agency in London, I'm perfrectly placed to offer consultancy services on all aspects of technology. I can also help with pitch preparation.

Just for Kids asked my agency to create an innovative piece of content. We came up with an interactive video that allowed the user to watch a film and change the perspective from the mother of a missing girl to the girl herself who was being held in a police cell. It was a very powerful piece of content made even more emotive by the technology
